Fourth of July Care Package

This care package turned out a little different because it was mainly baked items. Yes. I baked.

All the other little trinkets were from the Dollar Store. Overall, this was a nice cheap box! I spent around $25 for everything inside, and my husband will get some nice homemade goodies!!

Dollar Store Duct Tape is surprisingly Sticky. Also, I have zero clue how to rotate these dumb pictures.

Little bitty flags and flag craaaaazy straws!!

Flag plates and napkins for all the goodies

Glow things.

More glow things.

Lots of glow things.

SO many glow things.

Red White and Blue Rice Krispie treats are first on the list!!
I followed This recipe.
NOTE: A couple minutes in the microwave is not actually a couple. If you put your marshmallows in for 2 minutes, they will burn, and you will cry. Because there will be no more marshmallows left in the bag for you to redo it, and it just won't work well. So, it's actually one minute in the microwave. Then you will have happy marshmallows that aren't burnt.

Red White and Blue Cakes in a Jar Recipe found Here.
How to prepare and seal the jars found Here.

The just of it its, you make a box of white cake mix then split it into 3 bowls.
One bowl you add blue food coloring.
One you add nothing.
And the last you add red food coloring.

Then you put 1/4 c of each color in each jar.
You put the jars in a baking dish and add a little bit of water to the bottom of the dish.
You then cook them for ~45 minutes at 325.

Then it's time to seal them.
NOTE: The lids have been in boiling water, they are VERY HOT!
The jars just came out of the oven, they are VERY HOT!
Do NOT be a dummy like me. Don't think you can seal these jars without using pot holders. You will burn yourself. And you will cry.

Don't forget to include frosting and sprinkles in the box so your soldier can top the cakes!!

Camo Cookie recipe found Here.

You can cheat like me and just buy a roll of sugar cookie dough. Then split it into four bowls. Add coloring.

Ball the different colors up and bake at 350 for ~12 minutes.

Put these in a tupperware container with a loaf of bread. The cookies will absorb the moisture from the bread and stay nice and chewy for your soldier!

June SpouseBox Review

I decided to continue to subscribe to the SpouseBox. The last box was nice, but not much I'd actually use. I'm so happy I continued to subscribe! This month was awesome!!

June's box all nice and pretty.

Each month this By Dawn Nicole print is included. They're super cute, but I have no idea what to do with them. Maybe if I had a desk. They'd make a great motivational for-your-desk decor.

I'm not a huge jewelry person, but this is super cute!! It will make the perfect Re-gift.

Coupon for a Free Skinny Cow iced coffee. Yes Please!! I will never turn down a free iced coffee.

This thing. Cute idea! Looks like a 4 year old put it together. Stars cut from paper and hot glued onto a string.

Makes a great cat toy though!

I'm currently nursing the after effects of a massive sunburn, so I love the idea of this thing! Apply your sunscreen, put this bracelet on, and it will change colors to remind you when to reapply sunscreen. It will then change colors again to let you know when you've been out in the sun long enough! Unfortunately they aren't reusable. But such a great item!!

Adorable Homefront Girl wristlet. I love this!! SpouseBox sure loves their Homefront Girl!! And I'm sure not complaining.

Lotion!! OMG, this stuff smells amaaaaazing!!! I'm super excited about this stuff!!

Chipotle Lime Fusion Jerky!! This will probably get mailed to my husband since I'm not a big Chipotle fan, but it looks amazing!! And the brands other flavors look equally amazing.

Overall, this was a wonderful box!! I'm super excited about it!! I can't wait for the next box! I personally won't use every single item, but I have a plan for all the items!

Texas Care Package

I'm currently in Texas visiting my family. My mom loves all the care packages I've put together for my husband, and wanted to put one together for him. Her idea was a Texas themed one! She helped decorate the box, but I was the one to go out and buy all the stuff (with her money, of course ;))

Everything was bought from either Buc-ees or HEB.

Texas Slang book

Bluebonnet seeds

Little 'I heart Texas' Cow

So this isn't really Texas, but I call my husband JJ and he loves 3-D puzzles, and I found this at Buc-ees, so I had to include it.

Mini Texas football

Texas Playing Cards

Air Freshener that smells like Leather

Texas bumper stickers

Post Cards

Buc-ees carmel camo popcorn

Buc-ees trail mix

Buc-ees peppered beef jerky

Texas Pecan Brittle and Peanut Brittle

Whataburger Whatafries

Texas Shaped Tortilla chips

Texas Salsa

Whataburger Ketchup

Texas Green Tea

And the Care package all put together!
We ended up putting one of the bumper stickers on the box.
The Texas tissue paper was also found at Buc-ees.
